Stay with Us!

Whether you want to check out the many spook-tacular Edinburgh Ghost Tours, roar for your rugby team at Murrayfield Stadium, hit the clubs with the stag or hen or just want to experience our fair, ancient city, you can do it all on a budget if you choose to stay with US at the Cowgate Hostel!

Situated right at the heart of the city, the Cowgate Hostel building built in the 1860’s contributes to the gorgeously antiquated surroundings that Edinburgh is famous for.

We offer a huge range of rooms from twin bed rooms to 4 bedroom dorms, 6 bedroom dorms and 8 bed dorms.  We even have several private double rooms for you love birds out there!

Planning on hitting the *whisper* “Pubic Triangle” on your stag doo or sampling one of the many excellent cocktail bars with the hens? Then Cowgate Hostel is perfect for you!  We have several apartments that you can book exclusively for the use of your stags and hens! Choose from 14, 16, 20 and 22 bed apartments and you will have exclusive, private access to a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area, as well as private showers and “lavvies” (that’s Scottish for “toilets”!)

Beaten only by Paris, Florence and Rome in a reader’s poll of ‘Most Beautiful Cities in the World’ from “Rough Guide”, you could be exploring Arthur’s Seat, having your mind blown at Dynamic Earth, waving a cheery “HIYA!” to our world famous Panda’s Tian Tian and Yang Guang or so much more if you stay with us at Cowgate Hostel.  And as our prices are all extremely competitive and start at just £10, you’ll have more pennies in your pocket for whiskey, haggis and Soor Plooms!
